《洪水未至》是一部以“延迟的灾难”为叙事锚点的立陶宛剧情片，导演Marat Sargsyan刻意悬置了洪水作为戏剧高潮，转而用缓慢的摇镜头与背景环境音（风声、滴水声、远处引擎声）构建一种持续的低频焦虑。导演Marat Sargsyan几乎不用配乐，全靠长镜头和灰蒙蒙的画面撑情绪——洪水一直没来，但每个人的恐慌早写在脸上了。剧情也没啥大起大落，就一群人等着不知道会不会来的灾难，挺压抑的，但特别真实。瓦伦蒂纳斯·马萨尔斯基斯等一众老演员以极简的面部表情和肢体语言，传递出集体记忆被时间消磨后的钝痛——一次未完成的祷告、一场空洞的集会，都是剧本精心设计的时代切片。
叙事极简，长镜头居多，像纪录片一样忠实记录着小镇的沉闷与等待。
最扎心的是一幕：老木匠一遍遍擦试祖传的木桩，动作缓慢，像在用手指跟时间讨价还价。
