Michele Somerlath invites you to visit the new bigger, better, brighter French 50s 60s located at 1103 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice.

The new showroom, located inside the old Equator Books store, is triple the size of the old space, making it possible to showcase a much larger portion of the more affordable collection of Mid-Century Modern furniture, art and accessories from Europe and the United States. It is still In keeping with the cutting edge style of her other spaces.

The collection at French 50’s and 60’s will be more accessible and will offer the same look and feel of many of the higher priced designer pieces found at her other locations in Culver City. A small French buffet in oak from the 50’s can just as easily work in a small dining area or the corner of a living room. A modern chrome bar with bamboo and mirrored details is the perfect entertaining piece in a Venice loft apartment or as a stylish accent in a tiny guesthouse.

“I am a big supporter of new collectors and clients who are excited to learn about the style and lines of the pieces,” she said. “I want people to understand that there is a focus on the craftsmanship, not just the name of the designer.”

The inventory in the space caters to designers, tastemakers and beginning collectors who want the look and style that Michele Sommerlath has cultivated in her other spaces.
